[SPOILER WARNING]
Fans of Prison Break have been waiting for the show to return since it’s final episode aired in 2009, and it’s finally happening.

Fox originally announced the show’s return in January of 2016, and it was understood that both Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell – who are currently starring in The CW’s “DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow” – would return for the nine-part series. This left a bundle of questions raised by the fans, most of which were ‘Isn’t Michael dead?’

The official trailer for the new season was released last night and it reveals that Michael is in fact alive, and in some sort of prison outside of America. (Surprise!) It also reveals that Theodore (T-bag) gets his hands on some grainy photograph of Michael and hands it over to Lincoln.

After showing the photo to Sara, Michael’s wife, who says “I know you want it to be true-I want it to be true too. But we have to believe what we know,” Lincoln decides to travel to the origin of the picture and find out if his brother actually is alive.

Sarah Wayne Collins, Amaury Nolasco, Robert Knepper, Rockmond Dunbar and Paul Adelstein from the original cast will also return.

The show is set to air this year. Watch the full trailer below:
